Attire Children that are not potty trained must wear 2 swim diapers. We prefer 2 washable swim diapers as they work better and they are more cost-effective as well. You will receive a gift code from ISR to order one swim diaper from them (you can find your gift code in your “Approval For Lessons” email from ISR. Swim diapers are also available for purchase at Swim Gym or you can find them at most retail stores.
No eating or drinking anything 1.5 hours prior to lessons. No dairy for 2 hours prior to lessons. NO APPLES, APPLE JUICE, OR APPLE CONTAINING PRODUCTS throughout the course of lessons. For more information about this policy refer to your Parent Resource Book.
Arrive at least 5 minutes before your lesson time and have your child ready to swim (dressed and BUDS completed) at your child’s scheduled time. Out of respect for all parents, if you show up 5 minutes late for a lesson, you will lose 5 minutes of valuable lesson time.
You will be notified if severe weather, pool imbalances or Instructor illness results in cancellation. If a student cannot attend lessons, please notify your instructor via phone message, email or text as soon as possible. You are required to pay for all scheduled lessons - lessons are not pro-rated. If a lesson is missed and adequate notice is provided to your instructor you will be given a maintenance lesson (up to a maximum of 3 per session) which can be used after the completion of your scheduled session to help keep your child fresh in their skill set . Lessons cancelled by the Instructor (for instructor illness, holidays, vacation, weather, pool closures, etc.) are fully credited back to you. See back for attendance form.
BUDS stands for bowel, urine, diet and sleep. This information is essential to ensure the safest possible lesson for your child. This information could alert your instructor to potential problems that could interfere with lessons. Present the completed BUDS sheets to your instructor daily BEFORE your child swims. Your child cannot swim without completed BUDS information.
ISR requires 3 towels per child every day. 2 towels are used as a buffer and cushion for your child and one is used to cover and dry the child. After lessons, your instructor will place your child on the towels on his/her left side to rest and allow for proper air release.
Weekly fees are $110.00 per child payable by check, cash, or credit card through PayPal. Swim Gym can invoice you via PayPal or you can access payments directly through www.swimgymlwr.com. Checks to Anita Pope should be made payable to Swim Gym of LWR. Checks to any other instructor should be made out directly in their name.
